Our Meaning

The Meaning Behind SwiKaar

Every brand has a name.

Some are chosen because they sound beautiful. Some because they are memorable. Some simply because they are available.

SwiKaar was different.

Long before it became the name of our brand, it was already part of our story.

When we got married, we created a wedding hashtag by combining our names.

Swi from Swita.

Ka from Kaushik.

Together, it became SwiKaar.

At the time, it was simply a name that belonged to us. We never imagined it would one day become something much bigger.

Acceptance

As we started building our brand, we discovered something we had not planned.

The word स्वीकार means acceptance.

It felt less like a coincidence, and more like the name had quietly been waiting for us all along.

Because when we looked back at our journey, we realised acceptance had always been there.

Accepting each other’s imperfections. Growing together through different seasons of life. Choosing each other, every single day.

And slowly, that meaning became bigger than us.

“What began as a name created from two people, slowly became a reminder for every woman.”

What Acceptance Means To Us

Today, acceptance means something even more beautiful.

It means accepting where you are.

Accepting how far you have come.

Accepting that your journey does not have to look like anyone else’s.

And most importantly, accepting yourself.

Not someday. Not after reaching another milestone. Not after becoming “enough.”

But exactly as you are today.

More Than A Name

That belief quietly became the heart of SwiKaar.

Because we believe jewellery is not only about celebrating life’s biggest occasions.

Sometimes, it is about celebrating an ordinary Tuesday.

A small personal victory.

A quiet moment of confidence.

Or simply reminding yourself that you deserve something beautiful.

Not because someone else said so.

But because you chose yourself.

Today, SwiKaar is no longer just our names.

It is no longer just our wedding hashtag.

It has become a reminder.

A reminder to celebrate yourself. To honour your journey. To treasure the moments that shape you. And to wear jewellery that carries meaning, not just sparkle.

If our name reminds you to be a little kinder to yourself, to celebrate yourself a little more often, or to wear something that tells your story, then it already means more than we could have hoped for.

Welcome to SwiKaar.
